Sean S. Tjandra, BSc, DDS, MSc, FRCD(C) – Oral Surgeon
About Me
Dr. Sean Tjandra is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He completed all of his education and training at the University of Toronto which includes an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology, a Master of Science degree in Cancer Biology and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree where he was the recipient of numerous awards including the Gordon Cressy Leadership Award and the Canadian Dental Association Presidents Award. Following this, he completed a one year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children and then returned to the University of Toronto where he completed his postdoctoral specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and Master of Science degree investigating factors associated with skeletal relapse after orthognathic surgery. Dr. Tjandra is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
Dr. Tjandra has extensive training in all facets of oral and maxillofacial surgery including wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting, dental implants, maxillofacial trauma and pathology, orthognathic surgery and anaesthesia. Dr. Tjandra is a staff surgeon at Hamilton Health Sciences which includes Hamilton General Hospital and McMaster Children’s Hospital. He is also a Councillor for the Ontario Dental Association and Past President of the Hamilton Academy of Dentistry.
In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, golf, swimming and travel when time allows.
